Some things can’t be neglected.

A small patch of blue sky sneaking up behind. Ten minutes later it rained

I have neglected posting blogs recently. But some things can’t be neglected. It’s been sixteen years now.

Hopefully, before I head for the Canadian Rockies I will post photos of the cave on Symi taken in April and a walk around the inside of the caldera rim looking down at the craters on Nisyros taken in September.

Always good to hear from you, Barry – even allowing for the poignant pretext in this instance.  We look forward to catching any photos from your respective spring and early autumn (Greek) tours of duty in due course. Exchanges may be a bit fitful, but at any rate we trust you got our reply to your earlier e-mailing in July. Hope you feel that, having foregone Symi in high summer, the good fight was fought profitably on the home front in the end, and particularly in the garden. We never did come across any news headline concerning the unexplained loss of a Welsh gentleman to a man-eating 20 ft. hedge, so have to assume you came out on top (not literally!) in that particular battle? If everything was on hold here at this point last year pending the outcome of Don’s heart procedure, having 2026 mapped out only provisionally feels like giant progress by contrast! Anyway, for what it’s worth, we’re not discounting putting In yet another appearance in the 85600 post code area next summer. so it would be good to have at least the prospect of bumping into you at some point. In the meantime, very much hope you enjoy the benefits of an Albertan winter once again. After all (and leaving the age business aside!), I guess this is the time when you tend to follow old Horace’s advice, and “go west young man, go west…” All the best from us both, r
